Los Urrutias

A relatively new resort, Los Urrutias has almost a mile of golden beach with good facilities, enhanced by an unusual offshore marina in a hexagonal shape. Behind the beach is a modern, spaciously laid out town with an attractive promenade and public spaces. The coast either side is protected land, preserving the quality of the environment.

There is a good supermarket very near the house, with fresh meat and vegetables. The village also has a good newsagent, various bread shops and a bar where stamps are sold bank and bars. We also find the local hardware and associated beachwear shops very helpful but ask for the dictionary – they don't speak English. There is a local market in the village on Thursdays in high season


The views from Los Urrutias are breathtaking looking across the Mar Menor Lagoon towards La Manga strip.

A short drive away is the town of Los Nietos where you can take the train Cartegena and which runs every two hours.
