Torre de la Horadada

Torre de la Horadada is a small seaside village located on the Meditterranean coastline. With it´s plaza "Pueblo Latino" the showpiece of Pilar de la Horadada you will have plenty of places to eat and drink. This pretty plaza surrounded by shops and restaurants bursts into life each evening. The church square is a central meeting place and the venue for the many colourful and exciting fiestas. An evening stroll along the promenade or marina is the perfect place to enjoy the aura of the Mediterranean, the bustling street markets and the lazy beach bars.

San Pedro may be how we imagine a typical Spanish town to be. There are excellent restaurants serving locally caught seafood and where you can soak up the atmosphere of the real Spain. The beach is wonderful and each Monday the town bustles with activity from the local market. There are lots of activities, including water sports such as sailing, wind surfing, jet skiing, canoeing, fishing, para gliding, water skiing, boat trips, horse riding, bird watching. There are numerous banks, shops, cafes, bars and restaurants and night clubs.
The local therapeutic mud baths are a particular favourite as they are said to heal skin complaints and rheumatism. There is a nature reserve located on the salt lakes. This area is seen of prime ecological importance, is home to over one hundred species of bird and is used by migratory flamingos on the journey to Africa. The local area is very flat and lends itself to cycling with dedicated cycle lanes commonplace.
There are also a number of golf courses close by, Villa Martin, Las Ramblas, Campoamor, Roda Golf and La Finca are only 15 minutes drive away and not forgetting the championship courses of La Manga.

Torrevieja is within a 10 minute drive and is surrounded by salt lakes which are home to a variety of wildlife including pink flamingos which are protected within the La Mata nature reserve. The town has a large marina, fun fair, promenande which is bustling from early evening with street artists and stalls, a harbour walk and abundant bars, shops and restaurants.
Going north, Alicante is worth a look as are the many beaches and bays all along the Costa Blanca and of course Benidorm is only an hour away with it's vast selection of attractions including the Terra Mitica theme park, Mundomar sea life attraction and Aqualandia water park.
Torre de la Horadada is located 20 minutes from San Javier (Murcia) and 55 minutes from Alicante airport.
